As I stand here
flutter by wings
alight
in yellow flowers
stilled ... satiated
quietly becoming petals
curled and dropped
as tiny boats
that float down dreams
sinking slowly
and deep
into dark bottom fish
riding unseen currents
rising to become
slithery reflections of light
so bright
in my watchful eye.
What changes?
What stays the same?
